Plant IT Administrator

    Server / Network Support

    • Maintain Active Directory Microsoft Windows Server servers – hardware and OS, DHCP, Event Logs, Services, etc.
    • Administer Windows Server Update Services for security and patch updates for workstations and servers
    • Maintain and monitor tape backups and switch out back up tapes for servers
    • Administer Antivirus server and updates
    • Establish and maintain a functional hardware and software inventory system for accurate asset and licensing tracking
    • Produce and maintain system, network, procedural, and end-user documentation
    • Maintain wireless access points and connectivity
    • Research and spec out new hardware and software purchases

    LAN Support

    • Maintain fully functional LAN communications – fiber, cabling, jacks,
    • patch panels
    • Install, maintain, and upgrade LAN Ethernet switches and wireless access points
    • Administer Network printers

    Shop Floor, LAB, Plant Equipment Support

    • Install, set up, and maintain certain IT/computer related hardware

    and software throughout the plant

    Plant User Support 

    • Respond to and assist users with hardware, software, and service issues
    • Assist users with the use of equipment and applications

    On-Call Support for Critical Problems

    • After hours support when critical IT related problems arise


      Travel Requirements

    • Must be willing to travel 20%
    • Must be able to travel internationally

      Helpdesk Functions 

    • PC hardware and software installs, upgrades, and maintenance
    • Support for printer, scanner, storage and other peripheral setup and


    • Helpdesk ticket entry and maintenance

    Outlook Email Administration

    • User e-mail local archive maintenance and restoration
    • Creation of user ID’s and ongoing user support

    Plex ERP Issues

    • Assist users with Plex ERP printing issues – Zebra

      Thermal printers

    • Assist users with connectivity issues using Internet Explorer on Wyse

      thin clients

    • Setup and support wireless handheld scanners and other shop floor hardware as needed
    • User administration (internal and supplier using the Plex portal)
    • Monitor/Resolve assigned CAR’s (Change Access Requests) within Plex ERP.


    • PC hardware and software installs, upgrades, and maintenance
    • Work with PC hardware vendor field engineers on hardware repair issues
    • Assist users from other locations and visitors connect to the LAN to access their email and other services

    Miscellaneous Items

    • Support of remote user VPN connectivity
    • Maintaining hardware, device, component and part stocks for computers and other electronic devices
    • Ensure the proper recycling of obsolete hardware components
    • Maintain an ongoing inventory for hardware, software, and licenses
    • Ensure that accurate software licensing levels are maintained for the location
    • Support of phone, voice mail, paging and other voice and data communication systems including Company Cell Phones
    • Practices good housekeeping and organizational skills
