Truck Driver/Shipping Associate - 2nd Shift

    Job Description:The Truck Driver/Shipping Associate is responsible for
    preparing shipments, ensuring paperwork is completed and assist with
    inventory. Truck driver must maintain all equipment, logs and possess
    current Commercial Driver’s License. Duties and responsibilities •
    Must possess current Commercial Driver’s License. • Must maintain all
    equipment and driver logs (daily inspections). • Must be able to
    travel across state lines. • Must be able to abide by DOT requirements
    and all traffic laws as well as drive in a safe manner. • Must
    maintain a professional appearance and attitude. • Must be able to
    load/unload own trailer as required utilizing a forklift. • Knows and
    understands safety rules and work area MUST be kept clean always. •
    Associate has read and understand work instructions and know their
    location. • Associate is to fill out all tags correctly, including NCM
    tags. • Associate is to know how and print bar code labels • Must be
    able to be a backup in Shipping/Receiving as needed. • Associate is
    licensed and understands forklift operations and safe operating
    procedures, including forklift speed. • Associate is familiar with the
    principles of inventory control including knowledge of part numbers
    and FIFO • Associate demonstrates knowledge of general shipping
    principles including ability to load trucks properly • Understands
    that all accidents and incidents must be reported immediately • Manage
    the delivery of empty dunnage to a central location • Ensures
    protection of the environment with all jobs that may have an impact on
    it. Completes all required documentation that maintains our SPCC plan.
    • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and
    able to comply with all safety laws, policies, and rules. • Must
    maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the
    company. • Must be available and willing to work overtime as necessary
    to meet business needs. • Other duties as assigned by Manager .
    Working conditions and environment Extensive exposure to
    foundry/manufacturing environment with exposure to high noise, heat,
    hazards moving equipment, and molten metal. Use of protective
    equipment to protect eyes, feet, ears and potential burn areas are
    required. Must maintain all equipment inside and outside of the
    facility. Normal equipment used Semi with trailer, tow motor,
    electronic scales, manual pallet jacks, computer, phone, fax, service
    carts and small hand tools

    Qualifications:Qualifications • Current Commercial Driver’s License is
    required (Must be 21) • Diploma or GED required, other technical
    experience a plus • Experience in a manufacturing environment,
    experience in shipping/receiving preferred • Must be able to
    communicate effectively in English • Basic computer skills • Must
    obtain forklift certification
