    Trim Cell Leader  – 3rd  Shift

     

    Job purpose

    The Trim cell Leader is an advanced level direct labor manufacturing position responsible for product flow from Heat Treat through Final Pack.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Expert in safety rules and that work areas MUST be kept clean always. Knows that all incidents must be reported at the time of occurrence.
    • Provide technical support for the finish area including robot controls, trim presses, X-ray machine set and troubleshooting.
    • Oversees training of new and current Finish Side Associates.
    • Expert in area work instructions and their locations.
    • Expert in defect recognition and the proper scrap codes for those defects. Assists team in ANDON response and application.
    • Ensures all process, quality, PM, and production documentation is completed at the appropriate stages (hourly, end of shift, etc.)
    • X-ray Level 1 trained and qualified.
    • FLPI Level 1 trained and qualified.
    • Acts as communication liaison between the Finish Side and Foundry Side.
    • Expert in the non-conforming material (NCM) and 1st article processes. Audits X-Ray and FLPI process for compliance.
    • Knows & understands where to place associates to ensure efficient flow of product through all aspects of the finishing area.
    • Ensures that required supplies are available in the Finish Area.
    • Aware of the consequences to the customer, environment, & the employee if procedures are not followed.
    • Provide break relief and material handling support as needed.
    • Covers for the Supervisor during absence or vacation.                             
    • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor         

    Qualifications

    • Diploma or GED required, other technical experience a plus
    • Demonstrate a willingness to complete the TRIM CELL LEAD TRAINING requirements.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
    • Must not pose a direct threat or risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of him/her or others.
    • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, policies, and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violation to appropriate management personnel.
    • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company.
    • Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or such other hours per day or per week as are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
    • Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
