Position Details

Financial Analyst

  • Ravenna, Ohio
  • Job purpose

    Assists in the preparation and coordination of financial reporting and analysis. Conducts analysis of revenue, expenses, overhead and select balance sheet accounts.  Assists all disciplines in the financial group and works closely with senior management to supply the necessary information to make critical decisions about capital spending, budgeting, financial results and expense management.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Creates Rolling forecast models for revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreases

    • Organizes financial data from all manufacturing locations and accounting departments

    • Utilizes applicable raw material indices for customer pricing updates

    • Compiles and analyzes financial reports and finds discrepancies that require senior management’s attention

    • Manages the general ledger and devotes time to working capital metrics and management

    • Prepares financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies

    • Coordinates and assists in the annual budget process including compilations and consolidations

    • Provides EOM reports for C-level executives

        

       

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance (MBA Preferred)

    • Five or more years of accounting / finance experience.

    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

    • Proven track record of working with large groups or teams to implement changes resulting from financial analysis

    • Multi-site experience preferred

    • Experience with business having revenue exceeding $100 million

    • Experience with Ross, PLEX or Longview a plus
